BRISA selected for the SOFTEX Soft Landing USA Program.

On February 9th, the final result of the selection of the 10 companies that will participate in the Soft Landing USA Program, part of the Brazil it+ Program, by SOFTEX, was published.

And BRISA is one of these chosen companies to participate in the program.

The objective of the Soft Landing USA is to validate the strategies of the selected companies for the North American market.

There will be over 60 hours of workshops, mentoring sessions (between 02/26 and 03/15), followed by an in-person immersion, the final stage of the Program, which will take place from 03/17 to 03/22 in the city of Miami, FL.

The Soft Landing USA aims to offer a comprehensive view of the Miami ecosystem as a gateway for Brazilian companies to enter the United States.

Since 2016, BRISA has established a subsidiary in the United States of America, with its headquarters now located in Celebration, Central Florida.

“This has been a journey of important learnings, some stumbles, and many victories and joys,” says Paulo Toledo, CEO of BRISA.

<p"In fact, much of what we have learned in building BRISA America has inspired us to also apply in our operations in Brazil, both technological innovations and new business models. This has accelerated BRISA's learning process as a whole, anticipating evolutions that would take much longer to be absorbed and adopted, were it not for the experience gained in a more dynamic and competitive economy, such as the American one," adds the CEO.

In its journey in the USA, BRISA established, shortly after opening its subsidiary in the country, an agreement with the largest local university, UCF – University of Central Florida (which in 2021 had over 70,000 students, including undergraduate and postgraduate).

UCF also has a Soft Landing program, of which BRISA has been a part to date, to support American and foreign companies in establishing themselves in Florida.

“The consultancy, mentoring, and direct support obtained through participation in this UCF program were essential to correct the initial course of our operation in the USA, which, initially imagined based on decades of successful experiences in Brazil, turned out to be poorly aligned with the local market reality of the USA,” reports Paulo Toledo.

<p"For this reason, with enthusiasm, we joined this Brazil it+ Program: the more we understand the local market and its specificities, distribution chains, and better ways to approach potential customers, we are sure we will achieve more success more quickly."

BRISA’s goal with this participation is to deepen knowledge about the market structure and distribution of products and services in the United States, in the software areas in which it operates.

It is also a goal to train the employees of the local company team to increase the company’s sales efficiency.

Other underlying objectives of this participation include increasing networking in the North American market, increasing BRISA’s visibility in this market, accessing knowledge, and consequently expanding business.

The Soft Landing USA program is promoted by Brazil it+, SOFTEX, Apex Brasil, and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services.
